LOKICHOGGIO– Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai has assured Muslim residents that his administration will ensure they receive services like other residents.
Speaking when he joined Muslim faithfuls for Ramadan at the Lokichoggio Jamia Mosque, the Governor expressed his commitment to serve all Turkana residents equitably, stating that he was a friend to Muslims.
Governor Lomorukai has been joining Muslims during Ramadan, starting with Lodwar Town, and he promised to attend the Idd il Fitr celebrations.
“I love all people and serve all regardless of race, religion, or tribe to follow the support I received from across Turkana County. Muslims in Turkana are Kenyans like any other and have the right to enjoy all services, rights, and privileges enjoyed by other Kenyans. You have the right to be served by the County Government. This is not a privilege, but a right guaranteed by the Constitution of Kenya,” he said.
