KISMAYO– Somalia’s Jubbaland state President Ahmed Mohamed Islam Madobe Wednesday welcomed U.S delegation in Kismayo, led by the US AFRICOM mission commander, General Michael E. Langley, who is visiting the Jubbaland region.
The meeting centred on the general security situation in the regional state and how to bolster the ongoing war against Al-Shabaab militant which have strong presence in the area.
General Langley assured of AFRICOM unwavering commitment to eradicating Al-Shabab.
He expressed his gratitude at the Jubbaland efforts to tackle extremism.
On his part, President Madobe assured the AFRICOM command of his administration resolve to fighting against terrorism.

The meeting was attended by officers from AFRICOM, ATMIS, security agencies in Jubbaland and the country’s armed forces.
