NAIROBI– Leaders from the counties of Northern Eastern have today converged at a city hotel to discuss pertinent issue plaguing the region ranging from Eduction, Security and Development.
Under the chairmanship of Eldas MP Adan Keynan the group under North Eastern Parliamentary (NEP) Group chapter deliberated on issues of common interest.
Speaking to Frontier Online, the group chairman who is also Eldas MP Adan Keynan said they see to blend common ideas through strategic partnership.
“We seek to collectively blend our common ideas that define the future of our region through strategic partnerships that foster unity, promote peace and streamline coordination across our counties” Said Keynan.
Chaired the North Eastern Parliamentary (NEP) Group to deliberate on issues of importance to our region and chart a common path that propels our national interest.

On the issue of security in the three counties of Wajir, Garissa and Mandera, the legislator said they agreed Collaborative action with the communities and the Government security agencies.
“On the security front, we have jointly resolved Collaborative action with the communities and the Government security agencies” said the legislator.
In the meeting the leaders elected new officials for North Eastern Parliamentary Group.
The officials are as follows; Adan Keynan, (Eldas MP) Chairman, Hussein Weytan (MP Mandera East)- Vice Chairman, Salah Yakub (MP Fafi) Secretary General, and Umulkheir Kassim (Woman Rep, Mandera)- Treasurer.
