United Arab Emirates is the first Gulf country that President Hassan visited shortly after taking over the reigns of power from former President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
The UAE had last month appointed a new Ambassador to the Horn of Africa Nation to take over from the outgoing envoy Mohamed Al- Othman
The Gulf Nation’s Foreign Affairs Ministry said the appointment of the new Ambassador is a broader plan to strengthen diplomatic ties with Somalia after three years of severity following the seizure of money at Aden Abdulle International Airport by the former administration.
Ahmed Jumaa Al- Rumaithi is expected to arrive in Mogadishu ver soon and take over from Othman in the coming days.
Somalia and UAE enjoy strong bilateral relations and also engage in close development cooperation for the mutual benefits of both countries.
