NAIROBI– Somalia Federal government and the United Nations Refugee Agency ( UNHCR) have agreed to instituting measures to guarantee the safety, dignity, and successful integration of the refugees and returnees with the rest of the community.
This revelation was born out of a meeting between Mohamed Beenebeene and Amb. Mohamed Affey which took place on Friday.
Beenebeene, is the Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development while Amb. Affey is the Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Somalia.

The two officials also discussed the challenges facing the Somali refugees and returnees and ways of addressing their plights.
The Minister expressed delight at meeting with the UNHCR Envoy and affirmed Somali government’s unwavering commitment towards supporting the course of the UN refugee global body.
On his part Amb. Affey underscored the role of the Somali government on creating good conditions for the returnees previously displaced by calamities and civil war that gripped the Horn of Africa Nation.
