Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has picked as the new Director of International Cooperation.

Jibril Afyare was appointed as the Director of International Cooperation (Bilateral and Multilateral).

Afyare thanked President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Abshir Omar Jamaa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the appointment.

He pledged to serve in the docket with honesty, dedication, determination, professionalism and a fidelity to the laws of the country.

The new Director brings in a vast of experience in international relations, having previously served as Somalia’s deputy ambassador to Djibouti.
