HARGEISA– Somaliland government has notified the international community over incessant attacks and the distressing situation in its soil.
According to a press release from the Somaliland ministry of Defence, allege that they have been subjected to relentless attacks and efforts to destabilise from a coalition comprising of the Puntland region, terrorists groups, militias from Lascanood and Somali soldiers trained in Eritrea.
“We have been subjected to relentless attacks and ongoing efforts to destabilize our region, perpetrated by a coalition consisting of forces from Puntland state of Somalia, terrorist groups, militias from Las Anod, and Somalia soldiers trained in Eritrea”.said the Ministry.
They blamed the Puntland Maritime Force (PMPF), trained by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to combat terror groups and pirates operating in Puntland-State of Somalia of taking part in the ongoing hostilities in Lascanood.

The self-declared autonomous region of Somalia also deeply expressed reservations against the use of the Puntland-State of Somalia soldiers, trained by the USA in the warfare.
The Ministry emphasized further that the Somaliland government complied with the international community’s call to withdraw it’s troops in the disputed town of Lascanood and conceded mediation from the Ethiopian government.
However, it says despite the sincere efforts from their side they are facing relentless attacks in Lascanood affirming that they will not hesitate to defend itself and urged the international community to denounce such atrocities.
No response was available from the Somali government and Puntland State over the alleged involvement of their soldiers in the ongoing war in Lascanood town by the time of publishing this report.
