MOGADISHU– Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has on Sunday received Hamse Warfa, Senior democracy and human rights Advisor in the U.S. State Department at his office in the capital Mogadishu.
They discussed a raft of issues including strengthening the bilateral relations between Somalia and the US, which is based on shared principles of human rights and democracy.
Prime Minister Barre expressed gratitude at meeting and lauded the high profile US official for visiting the country.
He expounded to the visiting senior official the programs by his administration in combatting with terrorism and plans geared towards reviving and bolstering economic and political reforms in the country.

Mr. Warfa on his side thanked Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre for the cordial reception he was accorded to asserting that the US government is vehemently committed to continue supporting Somalia in different fronts primarily counter- terrorism operations, development projects and State building processes.
He exuded confidence in the ongoing development and progress made by the federal government calling for the intensification of the same.
Haamse arrived in Mogadishu on Sunday morning and was received at Aden Abdulle International Airport by Ministers, Members of Parliament and other senior government officials.
The meeting between the two officials is going to greatly contribute to significant impact on the cooperation between the US and Somalia.
The US supports the Horn of Africa Nation in various fields particularly fighting with extremism, initiation and implementation of different development projects and State building.
The World giant country also lends hand to millions of Somalis ravaged by drought and other natural calamities.
