MOGADISHU-Somalia Football Federation (SFF) president Abdiqani Said Arab has been suspended from office following allegations of mismanagement, corruption and abuse of office.

Abdiqani who has been the chairman of the federation for 20 years is allegedly said to have embezzled funds by FIFA meant to organize football tournaments and for streamlining activities of the federation both in Moqadishu and Kismayo.

Unconfirmed sources however reveal that a fall out between him and his vice chairman Ali Shine over projects funded by FIFA which never materialised catalysed his suspension with both of them writing complaint letters to the World FIFA body over the graft at the federation.
