WAJIR COUNTY-Wajir Governor Ahmed Ali Muktar has reshuffled his Cabinet, saying this will enhance service delivery in the county.
In a circular seen by Frontier Online, Mr Muktar said his decision was informed by the need to improve service delivery.
“Pursuant to section 39(1) and 45(5) of the county government Act No 17 of 2012, in a bid to improve services in it’s entirety in the County,” he said.

In the changes, Mr Ibrahim Abdi Mohamed moved from Finance and Economic planning to Health Services, While Mr Ismail Sheikh Issack was moved from Health Services to ICT and Trade,
Mr Yussuf Abdi Gedi moved from Agriculture, Livestock Irrigation and Fisheries to Water Services, While Mr Abdihakim Billow Noor was transferred from Water services to Finance and Economic planning.
Mr Ahmed Shariff Bulle was moved from ICT and Trade to Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
The changes also affected Chief officers from six different departments.
Here is the attached circular released from the office of the governor.
This comes amid public uproar over the deplorable status of Wajir County Referral hospital with nurses and medical officers working at the facility forced to use torches and mobile phones to administer medication.
Doctors working at the facility have since protested the amateur response by the county administration to address the menace.
However it’s not clear what prompted the governor to reshuffle his cabinet.
