MOGADISHU-National Consultative Council meeting steered by Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has been concluded in Moqadishu with the leaders agreeing on most of the major issues that had stonewalled the meeting in its initial stages.
The NCC leaders comprising of the Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, regional leaders and Banadir governor Omar Filish agreed to conclude the ongoing stalled elections by February 25.
The leaders also concurred on taking AMISOM troops to the presidential palace so as to cool down tension caused by the Stsnd- off between president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble after the president announced last week he had suspended the powers of Prime Minister following allegations of corruption and alleged failure to conclude and manage the Lower House elections which missed its third time completion deadline.
The issue of publishing the names of the civil society organisations and elders selecting the delegates have also been agreed upon as the leaders called for the making public and publishing of their names before the election day.

The Meeting which began on Monday saw all the Somali lessrs come to consensus with the contentious issue of take over of security that threatened to derail the meeting having not been majorly factored in following protest from Pro- Farmajo regional ledfers who vowed to walk out of the meeting if the agenda was included in the talks.
This comes amid political tiff between president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble over the management and handling of the elections in the country.
