Wadajir Party leader and Presidential Candidate Abdirahman Abdishakur on Monday morning, has won a parliamentary seat in the ongoing House of People elections in the capital Dhusamareb, Galmudug State.
The furious critic of President Mohamed AbdullahiFarmaajo clinched the seat of HOP#138 after his closest challenger a female candidate withdrew from the race giving him an easy win.
Galmudug State elections team are today expected to hold elections for three more seats today in Dhusamareb.
In a short statement on his Twitter handle,
”I thank the community and the people of Dhusamareb for the responsibility they have given me. It is the beginning of success.,” Abdirahman Abdishakur said in a brief statement.

Abdirahman Abdishakur who is a renowned opposition leader is also running for Presidency in the upcoming presidential poll.
This comes amid a sustained efforts allegedly from Villa Somalia to block him from contesting for the parliamentary seat failed in the last minute after the clan of the seat backed him in his quest to garner the seat.
