Nairobi Jamia Mosque Saturday played host to people from different faiths residing within Nairobi and its environs.
Since 2018 the mosque’s management has organized for an open day meant to educate non- Muslims to come and learn about Islam and ask questions touching on the religion of Islam.
This year’s Jamia Mosque open Day theme was, Building Bridges-Understanding Islam.
According to Jamia Mosque Imam Sheikh Jamaludin Osman, the Jamia open day was a success and over 700 people came for the event.
“Alhamdulillah. By Allah’s Grace, yesterday’s event at Jamia Mosque was a success. Over 700 people came to the Jamia Open day, 31people, including our sister Maryam, took their Shahada” said Sheikh Jamaludin.

The sheikh further thanked everyone who participated in the event.
Apart from touring the Mosque, participants are taken through on how prayers are conducted.
They were also given chance to ask questions from a panel of sheikhs led by Sheikh Juma Amir at Jamia Multi-purpose hall.
Jamia Open Day event aims to promote a better understanding of Islam and Muslims, as well as foster tolerance and cohesion between Muslims and people of other faiths.
Last year, over 500 people, including members of the Christian clergy and students from theological institutions, attended the open Day.
