GAROWE- A Military court based in Puntland State has sentenced two men to death by firing squad and two others to lenthy jail terms for the scheming and killing of renowned Somali journalist Jamal Farah Aden.
Adde Abdullahi Mohamed and Abdiqani Saleban Jama (Saylor) were both handed death by firing squad after they admitted to the murder of the scriber.
Abdiqani Saylor confessed the court that he would be paid $ 50 for each murder he carried, including that of murdered journalist Farah
Hassan Jama Mohamed and Mohamed Ali Ahmed (Qaroon) were sentenced to 25 and 15-year prison terms respectively for being part of the killing of Jamal.
Jamal was shot dead in Galkayo town on March 1, 2021 by Al-Shabaab militants.
The group later in a statement claimed responsibility for the killing of the journalist whom they accused of being a member of Puntland intelligence and was working on inciting the public against the insurgent group.
