A student who scored 113 marks in KCPE is being celebrated after scoring an impressive grade of B Plain.
Najma Mohamed was the most improved student. She was from Banisa Mixed Day Secondary School in Mandera.
She was followed by Kelvin Njoroge who scored 207 marks in KCPE and improved to B plain in KCSE. Maina Mwendwa who sored 211 in KCPE got a mean grade of B Plain.
Sharon Cheptoo who scored 267 in KCPE managed a grade of A Minus. Sharwiza Isaac who had scored 244 scored a grade of B Plain.
Overall, 1,138 candidates scored overall grade of A Plain. The number of students who scored the minimum university grade of C+ was 145,000.
The results were released by Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha at Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) offices.
A total of 831,015 candidates registered for the examination which were administered at 10,413 centres compared to 752,981 in 10,437 centres in 2020. This reflected an increase of 78,034 or 9.39 per cent.
The national tests that were administered between February 28 and April 1, 2022.
