A high delegation from the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Secretariat in Zambia visited Somalia National Bureau of Statistics (SNBS).

The COMESA delegation visited the offices of SNBS located on the capital Mogadishu on Saturday.

During the visit, representatives of the two teams discussed a variety of issues key being the provision of comparable pricing and volume measures of gross domestic product (GDP).

Expenditure aggregates among countries within and across the region also featured in the discussions.

The visit by the delegation from the COMESA Secretariat heralds the commencement of the activities of the 2022 International Comparison Program (ICP).
