NAIROBI– Somali Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama has on Tuesday held meeting with the President of Comoros and the Chairperson of the African Union, Azali Assoumani on the sidelines of the ongoing Africa Climate Summit in Nairobi.
The discussion between the two officials focused on bolstering bilateral relations between the two countries.
Jamaa expressed gratitude at the meeting underscoring Somali Federal government commitment to further advancing ties with Comoros.
On his part, President Assoumani pledged his administration undertaking to bolstering cooperation with the Horn of Africa Nation in different facets.
He commended the Somali government for the progress it has made in the war against Al-Shabaab.
The Somali Deputy Prime Minister is leading high Somali government delegation attending the Africa Climate Summit which kicked off in Kenya’s capital on Monday.
Speaking at the summit today, Salah highlighted the proactive measures taken by the government in response to climate change.
