Somalia President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has today received at Villa Somalia the board of maritime case that represented Somalia at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) upon their return to the country today from the Hague based World court.
The president praised the historic role they played in the course of the Nation and the role that the future generation can play in defending the sovereignty of Somalia.
President Farmajo and the committee on the sidelines of the meeting prayed for Eng. Mohamed Omar Salihi who passed away but wished to witness the fruits of his efforts in championing for the win of the Horn of Africa State at the court located in the peace palace in Netherlands.
The 69 year old engineer famed for his firm grasp in maritime issues died at Adan Abdulle Airport in Moqadishu after returning from Turkey where he had been for medical treatment.
President Mohamed Abdullahi in his meeting with the committee at the presidential palace was accompanied by second the second Deputy speaker of the outgoing Federal Parliament Mahat Abdalla Awas, the Governor of Banadir region Omar Mohamud Mohamed (Omar Finish) and the minister of Finance Abdirahman Duale Beyle.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble on his part met and warmly welcomed the Somali delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Khadar Guleid in his office where he congratulated for their efforts to safeguarding and defending the sea of the country.
