MOGADISHU– Somalia’s Minister of Women and Human Rights Development Khadija Mohamed Diriye has on Sunday inaugurated Ministry’s human rights coordination office in the capital Mogadishu.
The department is expected to lead the responsibility in human right protection and promotion in the country.
According to the Minister, the Federal government is commitment to enhancing the protection human rights.
Somalia, a country reeling from decades of bloodshed and civil war has registered scourge of humanitarian rights violation especially women have been subject to gender based violence.
The launching of the office is expected to play a pivotal role in curbing such vices which have degraded the East African Nation.
