MOGADISHU- Presidents of Somalia’s five member States have on Wednesday begun arriving in the National capital Mogadishu.
South West State leader Abdiaziz Mohamed Laftagareen was the first to arrive in the city.
He was welcomed at the Airport by the Interior Minister Ahmed Fiqi and other members of the Public.
Somalia’s Galmudug State President Ahmed Abdi Qoorqoor also jetted into the city from Dhusamareb, the administrative capital of the Galmudug regional State.
His Puntland State counterpart Said Abdullahi Deni was last to arrive.
Deni was received at Aden Abdulle International Airport by the Interior Affairs Minister and senior government officials.
The leaders are expected to attend the scheduled National Consultative Council that is set to kick off in Mogadishu in the coming days.
NCC brings together leaders from the give regional States and Benadir region.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Abdi Barre is also expected to grace the meeting.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is scheduled to chair the meeting which usually focus on the current affairs in the country.
This is even as Somali security forces backed by local militias called “Macawisley” continue to engage the Al-qaeda affiliate group -Al-Shabaab in countrywide liberation campaign against the insurgents.
