MOGADISHU– Somali Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Daud Aweis has on Tuesday held meeting with Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General to Somalia Catriona Laing.
The meeting between the two officials which took place at the National capital Mogadishu majorly covered UN’s support to Somalia in the arena of peace, stability, prosperity and development.
Ms. Laing affirmed the UN’s continued unwavering commitment to supporting Somalia on its path to peace and economic development.

She applauded the Federal government progress in the ongoing state building process and counterterrorism operations.
Mr. Aweis on his part thanked the UN for its unflinching support to the Horn of Africa Nation and vowed to continue working with the global body in the future in its pursuit for development.
