Somali Ambassador to Serbia, Mohamed Abdullahi Ahmed has on Saturday met with the Mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Šapić.
The meeting between the two officials took place in the South East European country capital.
During their meeting, they discussed bolstering the relationship between the two countries.
They also tackled the expansion of the two capitals, development of a drainage system in Mogadishu and the management of urban traffic
Mayor Šapić emphasized on the importance of the relationship between the two cities recollecting how the leadership from Mogadishu and Belgrade used to have strong relations in the past.
On his part, Ambassador Ahmed conveyed official message from the Mayor of Mogadishu, Yusuf Hussein Jimaale popularly known as “Madaale,” about the need to bring back the ancient relationship between the administrations of the two capitals.
