NAIROBI – Somalia’s Chief Justice Bashe Ahmed has traveled to Indonesia to attend the 5th World Congress of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice.
Bashe is among 250 participants from across the World who are taking part in the the conference.

The three-day meeting is focusing on constitutional justice and peace.
The Conference has been convened by the Constitutional Court of Indonesia and the Venice Commission.
The theme of the Congress is “Constitutional Justice and Peace”.
The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr Joko Widodo, President Emeritus/Special Representative of the Venice Commission, Mr Gianni Buquicchio, and the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia, Mr Anwar Usman, opened the Congress on Wednesday.

The World Conference on Constitutional Justice unites 119 Constitutional Courts and Councils and Supreme Courts in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australia/Oceania and Europe.
The main purpose of the World Conference is to facilitate judicial dialogue between constitutional judges on a global scale
