MOGADISHU-The National Consultative Council meeting which started in Moqadishu on Monday after facing challenges of its start on 27th December has entered its fourth day amid disagreement over the handing over of security to the Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
According to sources, some regional leaders are opposed to the idea that the Prime Minister is given the responsibility of the security amid tussle between President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and PM Roble.
Ahmed Qoorqoor of Galmudug, Abdiaziz Lafta-Garen of South West, Ali Gudlawe- Hirshabelle and governor of Moqadishu who are close confidants of president Farmajo are opposed to the proposal.
Somali Prime Minister office in a statement this afternoon said the talks will continue until a consensus is reached over the issues being discussed in the meeting.

The meeting which is attended by Federal Member States presidents is chaired by MohamedHRoble and will touch on accelerating elections, improving electoral procedures and agreed upon final schedule.
This comes amid political tiff between president Mohamed Abdullahi and Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble after the president announced he had suspended the powers of the PM over alleged failure of speeding up elections and corruption after the PM was accused of grabbing land belonging to the National Army in Liido Beach accusations Roble has distanced himself from and instead blamed President Farmajo of obstructing elections.
